ASTERON
creative agency
The agency, being part of the parent company Studio Dreamhop, set a goal to separate itself from it by creating its own identity: “We want to have a distinct visual identity for Asteron because it [the agency] has a completely different strategy, services and target than the other branch…” – reported customer.
It is worth noting that the task was complicated by the fact that this is not some ordinary customer, but a team of experienced designers who have a keen eye for visual solutions.
The customer and his team brainstormed and drew a draft of the logo and thus formed an approximate vision of its implementation: “…We liked the idea of a star inside an eye because it can have 2 interpretations:
1) Literally: We put stars in the eyes of our customers (they often express that we do better than they imagined was possible)
2) Figuratively: This represents someone looking at the stars. Which is associated with to dream big and looking forward to the future. And that’s also what we do with our clients, we help them achieve their goals.”
We listened to these thoughts, but presented it in our own way: we proposed a font logo based on futuristic lettering, and made the star a laconic and harmonious addition to the brand name.
In cooperation with the customer, we arrived at a concise palette of corporate colors: classic and universal black and white, also accent blue, which emphasizes the digital orientation of the agency’s activities.
Also, on the basis of the corporate star, we formed a fairly flexible system of visual elements. These elements can be an autonomous dominant in the composition, be assembled into a pattern, serve as a template for text communication messages, or be a shape for framing photographs.
Such graphic elements of the identity allow you to create a unique and recognizable style in the design of social networks, business documentation, merch, etc.
