“Umanske” is a new brand of beer from the Ukrainian brewing company “Umanpivo”. This company has combined years of experience with the latest beer production technology and adheres to the 1516 Brewing Purity Law.

The company “Umanpivo” turned to our workshop for the creation of a new line of beer in order to combine the existing trademarks “Medov” and “Pshenichne” into one trademark “Umanske”. This allows them to increase awareness and reduce the cost of their distribution in retail chains.

idea

Having started working on the project and analyzing the market, we realized that we should turn to history. We paid attention to the Old Slavonic alphabet with their interesting and original graphics. Then we had an idea for a unique logo and style.

 

We have created a single brand – “Umanske”, under which different types of beer will be promoted: “lehke”, “medove”, “pshenychne”, “temno-slyvove”.

The combination of classics and innovations and the creation of bright patterns instead of almost rare labels formed the basis of our visual concept.

logo

and fonts

“Umanske” uses ancient recipes in her recipe, unchanged since 1516. This is what we wanted to express even in fonts. We have created a font referring us to Old Slavonic writing and made a logo in it. As an analogy to the innovative technology of the factory, we added a modern font for the descriptors.

and patterns

After researching the market for low-alcohol drinks, we wanted to create something radically new and stylish, which would not be embarrassing to drink in the company of friends. With which you can even take a selfie!

 

We have created vibrant patterns specific to every taste to show the flavors of each product in the line through graphics:

 

  • On “Lehke” label we see air bubbles with a yellow-blue patriotic color.
  • The “Pshenychne” pattern includes ears of wheat on a green field.
  • “Medove” is a honeycomb, honey from which I really want to try.
  • The pattern of “Temno-Slyvove” reveals its rich taste.
